Sustainable Fashion: Choices That Matter

Sustainability in fashion is not a marketing claim — it is a series of concrete decisions made at every stage of a garment's life. At ThreadCraft, we are honest about where we are and where we are going.

It starts with fabric. We prioritize organic cotton certified by GOTS, handloom linens that support artisan communities, and wool from mulesing-free farms. These choices cost more, but they are the right ones.

Dyeing is the hidden environmental cost of clothing. We are transitioning to OEKO-TEX certified dyes, which restrict harmful chemicals, and natural dyes for our ethnic collections. The colors are softer, and so is the impact.

Packaging is the most visible part of the supply chain. Our boxes are made from recycled cardboard, our garment bags from compostable cornstarch, and our tissue paper is acid-free and recyclable. No plastic poly bags.

Durability is sustainability. A well-made garment worn for ten years has a fraction of the environmental impact of five cheap garments worn for two. This is why we build for longevity, not seasons.

As a consumer, the most sustainable thing you can do is buy less and care for what you own. Wash less often, repair before replacing, and choose pieces you will still want to wear in five years.

We publish an annual sustainability report with full transparency on our supply chain. We do not have all the answers, but we are committed to asking the right questions.
